self-turning ability
The self-tending foresail makes cruising against the wind easier
Security through central operation
It can be operated entirely from the cockpit and does not require any additional support from a fellow sailor.
This contributes to increased safety and is particularly interesting for solo sailors and charter services.
Easy handling
The foresail is already dismantled for courses in space or aft, and there is no need to handle a spinnaker pole on the foredeck in rough seas. To be on the safe side, it can of course also be secured with a spinnaker pole. If you drive your spinnaker pole on a rail on the mast, all you have to do to dismantle it is hook the outer end of the spinnaker pole into the nock of the staysail boom and lower it.
Thanks to narrow sheeting, the boom jib enables a lot of height upwind
Thanks to the automatic adjustment of the hauling point, the foresail can also be reefed, so that balanced proportions between the foresail and mainsail are no longer a problem.
The staysail boom can be pulled for port maneuvers, the foredeck is free.
Handling is easy even for a small or inexperienced team.
